It's long been believed that weight loss is best achieved through healthy food choices and keeping active, but now scientists are saying that the time that you eat is also a major factor.

New research, that study more than 50,000 participants, found that eating dinner will make you larger.

For an effective weight loss strategy, researchers have recommended eating breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper - ideally avoiding dinner altogether.

They also suggested that snacks should be avoided, but matcha green tea should be incorporated into your diet plan.

According to the results, fasting for 18 hours over night was also preferable for weight loss.

The study also, unsurprisingly, found that eating more than three meals a day will also make your BMI higher.
