Yvonne Lin, a 38-year-old New Yorker, was so pleased when a man stood up to give her a seat on the subway she gave him a trophy.

Lin, a designer, posted on Instagram that she regularly used the subway during both her pregnancies, but it wasn't until she was in the third trimester of her second that a man gave her a seat on a packed train.

Lin said that while many women had given her a seat, she decided to continue her social experiment to see whether a man would stand for her - and he would be handsomely rewarded.

A bronze statuette - which appears to depict the "Incredible Hulk" tearing his shirt - atop a plaque that reads "#1 decent dude. First man to offer subway seat to pregnant woman throughout Two Pregnancies." became a prize.

"I was getting no seats from men," she said, "if I finally get a seat from a guy then I have to celebrate this some way and make sure he knows he's appreciated."

"I thought, 'You know what, it's worth it to carry it,'" Lin said.

"I didn't get a single subway seat offered to me by a man throughout my first pregnancy. So for the second pregnancy, I had this made and I've been carrying it around everyday - till last Friday. This guy is the winner!"

A man on her train last month was seated and looking at his smartphone Lin told DNA info.

"He looked up at me and looked super startled and embarrassed," Lin recalled, "and he immediately stood up and said, 'Please take this seat, I just noticed.'"

Lin didn't manage to get the man's name but managed to snap a photo of him with his trophy.
