Choosing the perfect name for your newborn can be a pretty hard task!
Should you look through old family names? Buy baby books? Or turn to pop culture?
No matter how long it takes for you to decide on the perfect name for your child, it's important to pick a name you really like... because you might just become one of the parents who regret their kid's name.
A survey of 1,362 Mumsnet users has revealed that 18 per cent said they wished they’d picked a different name.
In fact, the results showed that 32 per cent of parents regretted the name they chose within the first six weeks of birth and one in 50 even went of to change it by deed poll.
The main reasons for parents disliking their own child's name included "too commonly used" and "just doesn't feel right".
Interestingly, 20 per cent of parents admitted they’d never like the name in the first place, but felt pressured into using it.
