The latest offering from Apple has finally been unveiled - the iPhone8 and the iPhone X.

Apple debuted its greatest step forward in design and technology in 10 years with the iPhone X, which features an edge-to-edge Super Retina display screen.

The iPhone X will unlock using Face ID technology and there will be an augmented reality feature that allows users to animate emojis.

Meanwhile the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be available in new colours of silver and gold - along with the traditional space grey.

Both of these gadgets will also feature wireless charging.

While it is not known how much the new Apple phones will cost for Kiwis, it is speculated that the price could reach $2000.

It is suspected that the new Apple phones will be available in New Zealand from next week.
