Cat weighed down by matted fur goes through an unbelievable transformation

One kitty went through an amazing transformation when he was rid of 2.2kgs of unkempt fur.
Sinbad the cat was taken in by The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago covered with matted filthy matted fur, which weighed down the feline so much that he his hind legs had atrophied.
Sinbad was found in the basement of an elderly man’s home by a utility worker and was then rescued by the shelter.
Elliott Serrano of The Anti-Cruelty Society – who has since adopted Sinbad – says it took hours of grooming to shave off Sinbad’s "fur carpet" and now the neglected Persian cat is getting a lot of love and care.
"Now he’s getting lots of TLC and attention," says Elliot, "I’m just astounded at how he just loves people, even though people haven’t always treated him very well.
"It’s a lesson we could all learn."
