This fire and Rescue crew has released a spoof of the cult classic Dirty Dancing, in an attempt to remind people to test their smoke alarms.

They use the slogan, 'Keep having the time of your life' and two firefighters can be seen performing the dirty dancing routine initially made famous by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

At the end, you can see their manager Joanne Gilham being lifted in the air by a firefighter so that Gilham can press the test button on the smoke alarm.

You can watch the full clip below:

Iain Thomson, the service's head of community safety told the BBC: "We really want people to make it part of their weekly activity. If you have difficulty reaching for the smoke alarm then you could use a broom handle or ask a relative or neighbour to help. These life-saving devices are vital in every home."

We love it when places like the Kent Fire and Rescue team try to spread important messages in fun and new ways!
