How Many Spiders We ACTUALLY Swallow in Our Sleep

Everyone's heard the ol' "the average person swallows 8 spiders in their sleep over their lifetime" fact, but it's actually far from the truth. 

This 'fact' is terrifying and gross so to find out that it's no way near that bad may just make you sleep easier at night. 

Yes, that's right, there is no need to fret because Scientific American says it's highly unlikely for someone to swallow ANY spiders in their sleep. PHEW.

This is because spiders are really mostly concerned with tending their webs or hunting in areas where there aren't any humans nearby, and they really think of humans more like 'a really big rock' and that we're 'so large that we're really just part of the landscape.'

This has been the best news we've gotten in pretty much forever.
