McDonald's Happy Meals are about to lose their happiest part

A much-loved childhood treasure could be coming to an end!

It was one of the best parts of being a kid, a Happy Meal that didn't just stop at the food, oh no, it brought joy to kids all over the world with amazing little toys, but things are getting out of hand!

Public health experts are calling for McDonald's to stop toy giveaways with junk food aimed at kids due to research showing kids will crave food that gives them a toy of their favourite movie character.

The decision comes off the back of concerning obesity problems and unhealthy foods making up a high percentage of children's daily energy intake. The US has already taken action against some other restaurants for providing toy giveaways with meals.
