Yes, really...

A Starbucks customer from Illinois in the US has filed a class action lawsuit for $NZD7.15 million against the company, claiming it puts too much ice in its cups.

The Daily Mail report Stacy Pincus is claiming that customers were only getting half of what they were paying for.

She says that because ice is getting added to cold drink orders, customers got less than the promised amounts even though they paid full price.

"In essence, Starbucks is advertising the size of its cold drink cups on its menu, rather than the amount of fluid a customer will receive when they purchase a cold drink - and deceiving its customers in the process," state the court documents, filed in Illinois.

She complains that the company charged more for cold drinks than for hot drinks, despite giving cold-drink customers less of the product than hot-drink customers.

TMZ report that Starbucks considered the lawsuit to be absurd and said that customers should expect that ice was an essential component of every iced drink.

They also claim that if a customer isn't happy with their drinks, they can return them to be re-made.

Surely, if she's going to sue Starbucks, she should really sue all those fast food chains too.. right?!
