This coffee puzzle is stumping the internet. Can you figure it out?

Twitter user @Purp shared a coffee-lover's brainteaser last week and it quickly went viral with most people getting the answer wrong.

The puzzle shows a hand pouring coffee down a series of pipes.

You are then asked to guess which of the four cups will get their hot drink first.

Think you've solved it?

Twitter guessed (incorrectly) cup 4 or cup 9.

The correct answer?

Is cup 5.

Why?

Because the pipes leading to cup numbers 4, 9, and 7 are all blocked.
