This map shows Kiwis where to find free food in your city

Fruit doesn't just come from a shop.

Nope.

Whether you're after mandarins, feijoas, or broccoli - there's plenty of produce going begging in New Zealand.

Thanks to an initiative started by Michael Brenndorfer, there's now an interactive 'New Zealand Fruit and Food Share Map' on GoogleMaps to show people where they can find free food around our beautiful country.

Brenndorfer is hoping to encourage Kiwis to use food resources that would otherwise go to waste.

And we are loving this idea!
