9 Things We Learnt Watching the Britney Spears Carpool Karaoke

The much-anticipated Britney Spears Carpool Karaoke came out last night and boy, did we learn about Britney! 

Here's 9 things we learnt while watching James and Brit in the car:

1. She’s an awkward car singer, just like the rest of us. Quiet in the bits she doesn’t know, looks out the window and awkwardly laughs when it all gets too much. It’s ok everyone, how you sing in a car is definitely not how you sing on a stage. There's hope for us all yet. 

2. She’s an even more awkward car dancer. Sitting in a seat with a seatbelt on lends itself to hands dancing. All the good classic moves too - “The Robot”, "Seven Dwarves Marching Arms", the “I’m on the phone” hand and the awkward guy “finger click”. Britney gives the odd sexy wriggle her best shot, but a good solid iconic Britney hair flick is virtually impossible in a car - so once again, she’s just like the rest of us.

3. Quoting 90s song lyrics is still a perfectly acceptable way to explain how you’re feeling. Britney is KID CRAZY. She has two, and wants another three. Britney cracks out Ace of Base - “All that she wants, is another a baby” with perfect timing. We wonder if she uses “Oops I did it again” at home when accidentally breaking things around the house? That’d be cute. I hope she does.

4. Even Britney has no idea what some of her songs are about. “Oops I did it again?” - to quote Britney “I think it’s just a song”. Wrong Britney. it’s a BANGER.

5. Pashing is still called “French Kissing” in the world of Britney. Do you think she calls dating - “courting” and engagement - “bequeathed”? And don’t get her started on those damn “Floozies”.

6. You can be a gorgeous poster girl for all things sexy, be millions of people’s fantasy woman, have two beautiful kids and still be done with men. Yep, even Britney has hit the relationship wall - saying she thinks she is done with men. No more men. Blurgh to men. Has she gone the way of the ladies? Maybe. It’s 2016. You go girl.

7. Like many great artists, Britney loves to sing the backing vocals bits, and throw in extra wee lyrics. “What”, “Uh”, “What” - so when we do that at karaoke because we are trying to turn our karaoke number into a full blown performance we are totally doing the right thing.

8. Britney is hilarious! Her go-to alias for checking into hotel rooms? “Anita Dick”. YES BRITNEY YES. She’s two steps away from prank calling people and asking them if their fridge is running. (“well you better go catch it then! hahahahahahaha” *hangs up phone*)

9. Britney Spears still looks amazing in a school girl outfit. James Corden looks like the rest of us do in a school girl outfit.
