Kurt Russell was delighted to meet Amy Schumer for the first time... even though it was the second time.

The 35-year-old told Ellen DeGeneres that the 66-year-old legend forgot spending an entire awards ceremony with her, the Daily Mail  reports.

The actress and recounted how Russell welcomed her into his home for the first time with "just the warmest greeting".

"He opens the door and he just says: Amy it is so meaningful to meet you, I love Goldie so much and you're so important to her."

"And I'm looking at him just thinking: 'We sat next to each other through the whole Golden Globes.'"

Amy was joined on the show be her Snatched co-star and on-screen mum — and Russell's partner of 34 years — Goldie Hawn.

The night before, Schumer had posted on Instagram a video clip of her singing and drinking merrily in the couple's home.

Goldie revealed: "I showed it to him earlier this morning, he looks at me and goes: 'Where was that?'

"I said, 'That was our house, honey' ... Should I be scared?"

She added: "He lives in the moment. And then he forgets about it a moment later.

But after scorning Russell for his shoddy memory, Schumer declared "He's Nemo! He's a goldfish!" ... forgetting that Nemo was neither forgetful nor a goldfish.

"It's actually Dory.... Dory forgot," chimed in a hurt-looking Ellen, who actually voiced the amnesiac blue tang in the Disney hit.

"Dory, right, so sorry," Schumer replied. "I read the books."
