You know what they say. Accidents happen - and not even the stars are immune to them.
From the mildly embarrassing to the downright painful, we look at some of the accidents to have befallen our local celebrities.Â
Matty McLean
When he agreed to a guest spot on children's show What Now earlier this year, TVNZ star Matty McLean had no idea it would end in a trip to A&E.
The Breakfast weather presenter was strapped into a zorb to take part in a human ten pin bowling stunt live on air, and managed to split his head open when he hit the floor.
Ever the professional, McLean kept "smiling through the pain" while the cameras rolled.
He eventually got the nasty cut on his head stapled close at hospital.
The things people will do to impress a bunch of kids!
Lorde
We still don't know exactly how singer-songwriter Lorde managed to break her arm before the Met Gala last year, but we do know she managed to turn her resulting cast into the most sought-after accessory at the exclusive evening.
The Kiwi pop star paired her beautiful, ethereal gown with the cast and then proceeded to get some very famous friends to sign her arm over the course of the Gala.
Posting a photo of the cast to Instagram, Lorde said: "If u ever wanna know who was at the 2016 Met Gala, they're all on my arm." (sic)
Names spotted on the cast included one Taylor Swift and Yeezus (or Kanye West to the rest of us). Vogue even described the cast as being the coolest accessory at the event.
That's right. Even Lorde's broken limbs are cooler than yours.
Jared Turner
When he's not busy with his family or his acting career, it seems Jared Turner is busy indulging his passion for motorbikes.
And it was a passion that very nearly saw him badly injured back in January when he went for a bit of a downhill slide.
The former Almighty Johnsons and Go Girls star posted a couple of photos of his scuffed up boots and bag to Instagram following the accident, saying he was "thankful for getting off lightly".
After "trying to stop my moving bike from damage by putting my body between it and the road", Turner suffered just a few scrapes and bruises. The beloved bike survived with its own minimal damage too.
Toni Street
But not all accidents lead to bodily harm, thankfully.
Seven Sharp host and The Hits presenter Toni Street suffered a minor mishap last weekend as she and her young daughters attempted to surprise the special man in their lives with breakfast in bed on Father's Day.
In photographic evidence of the misadventure, a beautifully presented breakfast tray, complete with presents and a vase of flowers, became a broken breakfast tray strewn across the floor. (And all before 7am, no less.)
But it's the thought that counts, right?
Lily McManus
But none of the above celebs can hold a candle to former Bachelorette Lily "A few trips to the ER are good for the soul" McManus when it comes to being accident-prone.
The popular runner-up from season three of The Bachelor NZ has shared a few of her mishaps with her almost 42,000 Instagram fans, many of which seem to occur during nights out.
As the woman herself says: "Using your feet is dangerous when mixed with the consumption of alcohol."
Another photo of a ruined boot was accompanied with the observation that "you know last night was some good sh*t when you wake up without a toe nail and find your feet holders looking like this in the front yard."
And then there was that time where McManus learned a very important life lesson: Never trust a horse.
Stay safe out there, everyone!
