Married at First Sight NZ promises to be compulsive viewing and now one of the show's first applicants has revealed herself.

Girl-about-town Belinda Nash has applied and we're rooting for her to make the final cut.

Nash says she initially wasn’t keen but after watching a neighbour apply she thought “why not me?"

"I am all kinds of weird and meeting my match here and in the UK has eluded me, so it's time to put my fate in the hands of the experts. If I make the show, I’m such an open book and I’d bring plenty of awkward moments, loads of LOLs and definitely challenge people’s expectations — most especially my own.

"I want to be the next Simon and Alene — they were too cute for words."

Her brother, Napier MP Stuart Nash, 49, who’s pegged to walk Belinda down the aisle, was all for the bold move, saying "You’ve got to have a ticket in the lottery to win it."

And Nash confessed she’s already picked out the dress. "I couldn’t help myself ... but really, I’d absolutely love to be part of this ultimate life experience and if my Mr Right is out there, time to apply, babes, the clock’s ticking and we have a wedding to plan!"

Spy knows Nash from the many events she attends around town, and we’d love to see her meet her match at the altar on MAFS NZ, which is rumoured to start filming in August.
