Gilmore Girls star Jared Padalecki and wife Genevieve Cortese welcome baby daughter

Jared Padalecki and his wife Genevieve Cortese have welcomed their third child.

The Supernatural star introduced the latest addition to their brood on Instagram.

"Please welcome the newest Padalecki, Odette Elliott!!" Genevieve captioned a photo of the baby.

The couple decided to use the announcement as an opportunity to raise funds and awareness through a baby shower collaboration with brand Pop & Suki.

The partnership benefits the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organisation, and Planned Parenthood, an organisation dedicated to women's health.

"I wanted to celebrate this special occasion by collaborating with one of my favourite brands, @popandsuki, to raise funds for two amazing causes: Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Campaign, who need our help now more than ever," Genevieve explained. 

"Help us spread the love and joy Odette has brought us by monogramming your own heart tag," she continued. "They are super limited edition so will run out quickly!"

The Gilmore Girls actor and Genevieve collaborated on the "Padalecki" leather heart tag, which is available for $40 online and can be monogrammed. Half of the purchase price will be split between the two causes, the website noted.

The couple married in 2010 after Genevieve appeared as a demon in season 4 on CW's Supernatural. The new baby girl joins their sons Shepherd, aged 3, and Thomas Colton, aged 5.
