Here’s your first look at Delta Goodrem as Olivia Newton-John!

We've finally got our first glimpse of Delta Goodrem playing Olivia Newton-John in the the upcoming Channel Seven biopic 'Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted To You' - and we were left doing a double take.

The 32-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo of her reenacting Olivia's iconic look as Sandy in the 1978 flick 'Grease'.

“Nothing could ever compare to the one & only Olivia,” she captioned the pic. “One of the highlights of my life, to walk in the footsteps of my idol in this magnificent celebration of her journey. Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted To You coming in 2018.”

Fans were quick to congratulate Delta on the role, pointing out how identical the pair look.

“I couldn't think of anyone else but you that would truly fit this role. So excited!” one wrote.

Another added: "Oh you look so gorgeous, her twin & you will absolutely be the most fabulous Olivia."

A third said: “LOVE! Perfect choice for the role.”

"Congrats on the role I cant imagine anyone else more suited to the role cant wait to see it," another wrote.

In a statement released earlier this year, FilmVic said the two-part miniseries would retell the story of Olivia Newton-John's "remarkable path through one of the world’s toughest industries, and provide a glimpse into the extraordinary achievements of one of Australia’s most loved icons.
