Is this hottie New Zealand’s next Bachelor?

His name is Carlos Ulberg and he’s a professional MMA fighter and boxing instructor.

Fairfax reports MediaWorks sources have confirmed the 26-year-old kickboxer is leading the list of eligible bachelors to star in next year’s reality show, which starts filming early next year.

Spy understands another Bachelor had been selected by TV3, before he changed his mind and pulled out of the reality romance.  

TV3 are reportedly still recruiting the bachelorettes but has confirmed a new host, with Dominic Bowden replacing Mike Puru.

Bowden said: “We need to be careful. We are being very diligent to make sure that people are not there for the wrong reasons: to get Instagram followers or become, quote-unquote ‘famous’ because that’s not what this is about. If we wanted to create a TV show with high drama, then that’s the what we would do it.”

Ulberg is no stranger to the limelight. He is a model as well as a professional boxer and was a finalist in Cleo Bachelor if the year competition last year.
