Joe Jonas has popped the question to Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are engaged!

The celebrity couple made the announcement on Instagram, sharing photos of the Game of Thrones star's gorgeous engagement ring.

On her account Sophie, 21, wrote: "I said yes", while DNCE singer Joe, 28, captioned his picture, "She said yes".

Sophie's pear-shaped diamond engagement ring was matched by a beautiful diamond eternity band.

The lovebirds have been dating since November 2016 and Sophie has previously admitted she likes to keep their relationship as private as possible.

She explained at the time: "I'm in a relationship, but it's a very private relationship. I'm happier than I've been in a very long time. I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care. And people I've met recently in my life have drawn me out of that. It really helps you own those insecurities. The things I tortured myself about before, I can forget about."

Since the announcement Joe's younger brother Nick Jonas has taken to social media to congratulate them on their engagement, writing: "Ahh! Congratulations to my brother... and sister in law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much."

It looks like the British actress will be welcomed into the Jonas family with open arms. We're so happy for them both!
