Who could forget Kate Middleton's STUNNING Alexander McQueen v-neck dress she wore as she walked down the aisle to wed Prince William at Westminster Abbey.

The intricate lace and silk tulle gown - which is thought to have cost £250,000 (NZ$476,000) - instantly inspired a whole generation of brides and immediately brought lace long sleeves back into fashion.

But it turns out the Duchess of Cambridge actually wore a second wedding dress.

After the ceremony, the royal bride changed into a romantic, ivory satin wedding dress paired with a furry stole, to wear to their intimate reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her second dress was also designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and while it was less elaborate than the first it was no less beautiful!

The floor-length satin gown featured a sweetheart neckline, a circle skirt and diamante belt around the waistline.

The then-29-year-old completed the look with a white angora bolero cardigan, and wore her hair down around her face.

Doesn't she just look absolutely beautiful!?
