Katie Price is no stranger to cosmetic surgery, so it comes as no surprise the 39-year-old mum of five has undergone her very first facelift.

Showing off her "new face" on the TV show Loose Women yesterday, Katie revealed the £5,000 procedure is designed to boost sagging cheeks and jawlines.

The new procedure, called a 'Silhouette Face Lift', is performed under a local anaesthetic and uses permanent surgical threads that remain in the skin tissue.

So excited to share the results of my first ever facelift! Thanks @lbps54 for looking after me. So pleased 💋

She'll also be able to have her face re-tightened every year for up to five years.

Katie admitted she felt pressure to keep up with younger women and also confessed that her son Junior had warned her about having too much work done on her face.

'This is what Junior said, "Mum you are so beautiful. Why did you have to have it done?", she said.

'I was like, "I haven’t had that much done, Junior". And he said, "Mum, your eyebrows are fake, you’ve got fake eyelashes on, you’ve had your lips done, you’ve had your nose done, and your teeth. And now you’ve put these things in your face – why?"

'And I didn’t have a comeback. Because he’s actually right.'

Despite a long history of cosmetic procedures, including eight breast augmentations, rhinoplasty, teeth veneers, bottom lifts, liposuction, Botox and dermal fillers, this is the first time Katie has ever gone under the knife for a facial rejuvenation.

But fans are not loving the new look.

One wrote: 'Those lips Katie are so unnatural, you were really beautiful before you did this.'

Another commented: 'Please stop. You don't need it! You are intelligent, smart, hard worker, loving, caring... You are beautiful. All this ruining ruining your look.'

A third added: 'Quite sad really... It's obviously an obsession that's going to lead her to disaster one day, it'll be one surgery too many that can't be undone.'
