Kourtney Kardashian shocks fans with a photo of her daughter Penelope's lip piercing

Fans of the Kardashians are wondering if Kourtney really let her four-year-old daughter get her lip pierced.

The mum-of-three took to the social media to share a photo of her and her little one snuggled up in bed after a late night watching the Oscars.

Kourtney shared the picture on Instagram, writing: "Our Oscar Sunday. Yes, that's a lip ring. Thanks @kimkardashian. (sic)"

In the snap, the reality star - who also shares Mason, seven, and Reign, two, with her ex-partner Scott Disick - is seen wearing a white bathrobe as her daughter rests on her left shoulder.

While it's unclear if the controversial piece of jewellery — given to her by her aunt Kim Kardashian — is real or fake, Kourtney’s followers flipped out.

“A child shouldn’t have that. Period,” one angry person commented.

Another said: "Ridiculous how can you give it to such a little girl".

Others berated the 37-year-old, adding: “Why don’t you just add a belly button ring too” and “When I was her age I wasn’t even allowed to wear nail polish.”

“You got your little daughter a lip ring? And parent of the year goessss to,” wrote another.
