First they were spotted on a lunch date with The Bachelor's Zac Franich, now they're out on a romantic island adventure, scaling Auckland's Rangitoto.

Married at First Sight couple Nick Furphy and Sharon Marsh were one of just two couples to survive the reality TV experiment, which recently finished screening on Three.

Now they're back in New Zealand as a local version of the series is announced, marking their second trip here in just two months.

While their last visit saw the couple get inked, this time they headed on an outdoor adventure, as per The Bachelor's advice.

In a cute video posted to Instagram, Shaz said: “We are in Rangitoto Island climbing the volcano with this Mr. Mischief and we are puffing!”

The couple were first spotted in Auckland on Saturday, with fellow MAFS couple Alene and Simon, tucking into some lunch at Ponsonby hot spot Blue Breeze Inn with Franich.

The couples wouldn't reveal what had brought them to New Zealand, however, the next day it was announced a local version of the show will start screening in October.

Climbing a volcano with the ball and chains @shazzimarsh loving life right now ❤❤
