She's spent the last few years as an outspoken advocate for marijuana.

In addition to wearing costumes printed with the potent plant's leaves, she has songs about "smoking pot" and even pulled out a blunt on stage at the European Video Music Awards in 2013.

But now, Miley Cyrus is coming clean about staying sober "for a second" in the new issue of Billboard Magazine, where she also opens up for the first time about getting back together with ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth, the Daily Mail reports.

"This is crazy, but I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks," she told Billboard in the interview that took place in April, "which is the longest I’ve ever (gone without it)."

"I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open. And I was noticing, it’s not the people that are stoned," she said of the decision, adding she isn't drinking either, "I’m completely clean right now!"

Miley, who has been on a "media blackout" has finally opened up about the rekindling of her romance with Hemsworth.

Of the on-again relationship, she says, "I needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard."

Their relationship began on the set of their 2010 movie The Last Song when Miley was still known as a teen pop singer with long brunette hair.

During the course of their relationship, she began to revamp her Disney image for that of a raunchy, pot-smoking provocateur who infamously twerked on Robin Thicke at the 2013 Video Music Awards.

The image overhaul was said to have taken its toll on her relationship with Liam, and they called off their engagement in 2013.

In April of 2016, they were caught together at vegan restaurant Gracias Madre and have been back on ever since.

"We had to re-fall for each other," Miley explains to Billboard

Billboard announced in the article that Miley will be releasing a new song about her relationship with Liam called Malibu on May 11.

"I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song," she sings on the track, according to the magazine.

Of her decision to put out such a personal track, she says, "They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, 'This is how I feel.'''

Two days after the premiere of Malibu, Miley will take the stage at Kiis FM's Wango Tango concert in Carson, California.

It will be a family affair, as her sister Noah will also be performing at the event.

Miley has not released new music since she gave away her Dead Petz album for free online in 2015. Her 2013 Bangerz album is her last commercial release.
