Last week Prince Harry made his first official public appearance with his girlfriend, Meghan Markle.

The couple were seen together on numerous occasions while supporting the Invictus Games, the Paralympics-style event founded by Harry for wounded and injured servicemen and women and veterans.

But during the formal outing, the pair broke a royal 'rule' - and one that is strictly followed by Prince William and Kate.

Yep, it's royal protocol unmarried monarchs aren't allowed to hold hands in the public eye or show public displays of affection.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, were photographed holding hands as they walked to their seats at a Tennis match in Toronto, Canada.

They were also spotted sharing a kiss.

The couple had originally kept their distance from each other at the opening ceremony, with Meghan sitting a few rows away from her partner.

Kensington Palace has not yet commented on the actress's appearance at the ceremony.
