The heartbreaking reason Michael Jackson started wearing 'the glove'

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, the young phenom who stole the hearts of the world as the frontman for the Jackson 5, will always be remembered as one of the greatest performers and musicians that the world has seen and possibly will ever see! That moonwalk, those dance moves, the voice and of course, the glove!

It was the look that the world still see's when they think of MJ, you would say the trademark for Michael Jackson that drove the crowds wild! Picture it! A white spotlight beaming down on Michael, he reaches into his pocket and BOOM there it is, the glove! But the question most people ask themselves, where did the idea come from? Why did he start wearing a glove?

According to actress and friend of MJ, Cicely Tyson, Michael and she were sharing a fashion designer during the 1980's when she was made aware of the glove. At the time, the designer revealed that he was creating a glove for to help hide is vitiligo.

Tyson revealed to a CNN editor that she was there when the glove was being made and explains that the reason for the glove was more than just hearsay! Jackson's dermatologist confirmed that The gloved one was indeed suffering from a serious case of Vitiligo and he was getting breakouts on his hand and face, areas that were difficult to treat.
