Meghan Markle gave six of her best friends and the Duchess of Cambridge a touching gift to remember her big day after they supported her through the nuptials.

The new Duchess of Sussex, 36, commissioned California-based jeweller Lisette Polny, founder of Zofia Day, to make the bespoke Solid Gold Disc Bracelet as a memento for her loved ones.

Meghan herself approved the design for the delicate yellow gold trinket, appropriately titled The Kensington, which is now available to buy for $450 (£335).

As well as the Duchess of Cambridge, it's thought that Jessica Mulroney and Benita Litt also received the gift after their children walked down the aisle with Meghan as bridesmaids and pageboys.

It’s an overwhelming honour to be part of history and for my pieces to be given as a keepsake for this momentous occasion,” Polny told People

It’s a really simple, elegant piece that’s just very true to her personal style.

Each of Meghan's bridesmaids was also given a memento of the big day.

The six young girls were wearing white leather Aquazurra shoes, each monogrammed with the bridesmaid’s initials and the wedding date.

Kensington Palace said they were a gift from Meghan as a keepsake of the special day.

The four boys had their initials embroidered in gold on their shoulder straps, as their memento.

The boys wore a miniature version of the Blues and Royals frockcoat that Harry and the Duke of Cambridge wore.

Ten bridesmaids and page boys followed Meghan down the aisle for her wedding to Harry over the weekend.

Both Prince William's children were part of the wedding party, with Charlotte a bridesmaid and George a page boy.

Harry's other goddaughter three-year-old Florence van Cutsem was also a bridesmaid, as well as Ms Markle's goddaughters, sisters Remi and Rylan Litt, aged six and seven respectively, and four-year-old Ivy Mulroney - the daughter of Meghan's close friend Jessica Mulroney - were bridesmaids.

The other pageboys were Harry's six-year-old godson Jasper Dyer - the son of Harry's mentor Mark Dyer - and Mrs Mulroney's seven-year-old twin sons Brian and John Mulroney.
