It's not unusual for there to be a "kids’ table" at special dinners.

But believe it or not, even royal children are forced to sit away from their parents during meal times.

Why?

It all comes back to royal protocol.

According to Harpers Bazaar, Prince George and Princess Charlotte aren’t allowed to sit at the table with their parents until they have learned the “art of polite conversation”.

And until they do, the youngest members of the British royal family are confined to the kids’ table.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s youngest son, one-month-old Prince Louis, will also be expected to follow suit when he’s older.
