This major Home and Away character is leaving the show!

Home and Away is about to lose one of its hottest characters.

Just months after Pia Miller left the soap, George Mason, who plays bad boy Martin 'Ash' Ashford, is also leaving the bay.

Ash, who first hit our screens in 2014, has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines based around illegal activities and relationship dramas.

But after nearly four years on the long-running Aussie soap, Ash's time has come to an end.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Kiwi-born actor has already wrapped filming on the show and returned to New Zealand.

And while details of his final scenes are not yet known, George is expected to continue to be seen on Home and Away until mid-2018.

The ex-Shortland Street actor is engaged to French model Manon Buchalet.
