This Survivor NZ finalist just got engaged!

It’s been a busy week for Survivor contestant Tom Paterson and though he didn’t score the immunity necklace, he landed something even better – a hand in marriage!

Paterson, one of the last remaining Survivor contestants, announced his engagement to model/blogger Christina Macpherson via Instagram this week.

Taking to social media he posted a cute snap of the couple mid-air high-fiving.

“I asked my human to be my human 'til I die and she said yes! Party time!”

Spy hears he is in Brisbane and looking forward to heading home for the live final at The Civic in Auckland on tomorrow night.

The 26-year-old teacher from Tauranga has been in a long-term relationship with Aussie Christina for more than three years.

She also seems to be stoked he popped the question too.

“Trying desperately not to come across too strong but man, I am on a disco ring engaged cloud and it's a feeling like no other!”
