It's one of the most recognisable songs of the early 2000s thanks to Terry Crews in White Chicks; the catchy piano-driven hit 'A Thousand Miles' put Vanessa Carlton's name on the world stage.

After 'A Thousand Miles' Carlton released a cover of Joni Mitchell's 'Big Yellow Taxi' with Counting Crows in 2002.

But since 2002, there hasn’t been much buzz around the New York singer.

A lot has changed for Carlton since 'A Thousand Miles,' while she still makes music, she also came out as bisexual, got married and had a daughter called Sidney.
