Video: Simon Cowell Unhappy About "Frightened" Puppies Being Used on BGT

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams were asked to take part in a quiz on the Britain's Got Talent spin-off show on Tuesday night where they received a cute pup for every correct answer.

However, by round two, Simon Cowell was less than stoked about the situation, forcing host Stephen Mulhern to apologise live on air.

'She's frightened, this one' a distressed Simon said.

He then put the puppy back in her carrier and was reportedly overheard telling production staff: ‘They shouldn’t be doing this.’

The apology was aired later and delivered by the host:

‘Very quickly, I just want to apologise if we upset anybody with the puppies. Obviously that was not our intention in any shape or form.'

‘So if we have upset you in any way I do apologise on behalf of Britain’s Got More Talent.’
