The palace is hiring!

Yep, that's right, Kate Middleton is looking for a new private secretary.

Rebecca Deacon, who has served as Kate’s “Girl Friday” since 2012 (and has worked for the royal family for a decade) is set to step down from her post, as she has decided to focus on her upcoming wedding.

The official statement from the palace reads: ‘After a decade of service to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Rebecca Deacon will be stepping down as private secretary to the Duchess of Cambridge.

‘She plans to leave the household in the summer. Their Royal Highnesses are incredibly grateful for all the hard work and support Rebecca has provided over the past ten years, and wish her well in the next phase of her career.’

The private secretary's job description entails briefing the Duchess of Cambridge on her appointments for the day, along with a detailed briefing before any official meetings and engagements.

The job also involves holding small kangaroos for Prince George and flowers for the Duchess.
