She captivates audiences with her powerful voice by simply standing onstage and belting out her famous ballads.

But Adele's appearance in Brisbane was slightly less graceful than usual, as she was forced to fend off a swarm of mosquitos during her gig, the Daily Mail reports.

The singer, 28, left the audience in stitches with her shrieks as she was approached by a number of insects onstage - before shouting out in a panic: "They're all trying to kill me!"

Looking glamorous in a floor-length sparkling gown, things soon went awry for the Rumour Has It singer when a group of mosquitos began to flit around her onstage.

Suddenly jolting, the audience broke into laughter as the singer screeched out: "F***ing hell! They're here all the time!"

Batting a few off, she then returned to her hosting duties by asking the crowd a question - before the bugs swarmed in once again, causing her to scream even louder.

Clearly in a panic, the redhead was seen dashing all around the stage as she shrieked: "They're back on me, they're back on me!", before adding in her usual witty style: "Sorry I'm not Australian, I don't like bugs!"

Making the saga even funnier, Adele then expressed a feeling of guilt when she realised she had injured the bug with her walloping.

Looking down at the crushed insect onstage, she said sadly: "Oh no I've hurt him!" before laughing with the crowd: "Oh god, how embarrassing!"
