Chad Michael Murray was a massive star in the 2000s. Best known for his roles in One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Freaky Friday and A Cinderella Story, the handsome blonde captured the hearts of every teenage girl.

Here's a reminder of what he used to look like:

But what has the hottie been up to recently?

Following his departure from One Tree Hill in 2012 - after a 10 year run - Chad went on to land roles in films Fruitvale Station and A Madea Christmas, and television series Chosen, Texas Rising, Million Dollar Quartet, and Marvel's Agent Carter.

In January 2015 Chad married his Chosen co-star Sarah Roemer, and the couple welcomed a son just four months later in May.

Today the pair announced they were parents again, welcoming a baby girl on Monday 13 March.

Sharing a sweet photo of his baby girl's hand on Instagram, Chad wrote “Don’t worry little girl you can hold on as tight as you want for as long as you want, I’m already yours & I’ll never let go😚👶😌👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 I’ve now two incredible women in my life. My son & I are two lucky guys.”

Speaking about fatherhood, the actor said becoming a dad was by far the best thing that had ever happened to him.

'Having a family just changes your perspective on everything,' he told ET last year.

'For me, it was the greatest thing that's ever happened to me,' added. 'Having kids is a game changer and I think you're always walking around with the mentality that you want to make sure that they're proud and you want to represent them well and just be a great leader.'

Consequently, the 35-year-old says he's now selective about the roles he plays and the projects he takes on.

'Just last week a project came up, and just due to the content alone, it wasn't something that I [want] my son to see when he grows up,' he confessed. 'It's not the type of material and I didn't feel like the payoff was worth it.'
