Bel Clarke is no stranger to Kiwi reality TV shows - but she says her second quest to find love has taken its toll

The former bachelorette says she has been ditched by her ‘closest friends’ in a bid to find love for the second time on Married At First Sight NZ, according to Woman’s Day.

“They told me I was stupid and that they didn’t agree with it.”

“They’ve left my life now. This has cost me some very good friends – well what I thought were good friends,” says the Christchurch-born blonde.

Clarke’s own family were also shocked that she was interested at putting her love life back on television for all to see.

Her father needed a few bourbons to process the news before saying “oh, it’s ok.”

Bel then jokes, “I don’t think he’s stopped drinking since!”

At the end of the day, the love-seeking lass hasn’t given up hope yet: “I love being in love. I want that feeling again.”

Married At First Sight NZ airs on Sunday and Monday nights on Three.
