When you think of the Olympics, wardrobe malfunctions definitely do not come to mind.

But for one figure skater, she revealed quite a bit more than she would've liked as she performed her routine.

The French skater, Gabriella Papadakis, and her partner, Guillaume Cizeron, were competing in the short dance when her green costume somehow unhooked from around her neck.

The embarrassing incident, which was televised across the world, saw a breast pop out of the 22-year-old's top.

But as we all know, the show must go on!

Incredibly, the duo continued the performance to Ed Sheeran’s hit song, ‘Shape Of You’, and landed themselves a score of 81.93 points - leaving them in second place behind Canadian stars Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

"It was hard to stay concentrated after the costume malfunction we suffered," Cizeron said after the mishap.

Papadakis was almost in tears as they were interviewed after the performance.

"I felt it right away and I prayed. That’s about what I could do."

"It’s a little bit frustrating to know that it’s not because of something that we did. It’s just a costume issue, something as stupid as that, so it’s a little bit disappointing," she shared.

"It was pretty distracting, kind of my worst nightmare happening at the Olympics."

She continued: "I told myself, ‘I don’t have a choice. I have to keep going,’ and that’s what we did. I think we can be proud of ourselves being able to deliver a great performance with that happening."

Social media users were quick to praise Papadakis for bravely carrying on, while others blasted broadcasters for showing a slow-mo replay.

Broadcasters have since apologised and have now edited the footage.
