Laura McGoldrick tries out the viral McDonald's coffee shake hack for herself

There's a brand new trend involving espresso coffee and McDonald's thick shakes.

So of course Laura McGoldrick and producer Max hit the drive-thru to try it out for themselves!

If you're not aware the trend - which has gone viral on TikTok - involves ordering a vanilla shake and a shot of espresso then mixing them together to create the tasty frozen coffee treat!

Laura and Max decided to try it out with a chocolate shake instead of vanilla - watch above to see if it worked!
