Vernon Coxhead believes his Te Kiri Gold 'magic' water relieves and revives cancer patients.

He claims his creation changes the molecular structure of the immune system so the water can penetrate to the bone, then to the cancer cells.

Also medical experts cast doubt on those claims, Coxhead still has a growing queue of customers.

High-profile Kiwis have been lining up to try the concoction. Terminally ill TV builder John 'Cocksy' Cocks has revealed he's been drinking controversial water, Te Kiri Gold for the past three weeks after reading Sir Colin Meads' claims it gave him a "better quality life".

This morning Vernon talked to Sarah, Sam and Toni about magical substance which has hypochlorous acid as its main ingredient.

The crew questioned why Vernon - a farmer with no medical background - charges $50 per liter for his water and he revealed that although the cost may seem high, he's not actually in it for the money.

"I still give away about 30 - 40 per cent of it to people," Vernon explains, "I still have cases ever day of people who just cannot afford to pay and I've had to pay myself for those people to have it."

When asked if he ever worries he could be doing more harm than good for cancer sufferers, Vernon said: "I made absolutely sure - and I wouldn't have started it - unless I knew that it was intrinsically safe."

Whether the Te Kiri Gold water really does what Vernon claims is still yet to be confirmed by medical professionals, however that hasn't stopped people been giving it a chance.
