New study finds women without husband and children are happier and healthier!

According to new research, women who stay unmarried and childless are happier and healthier.

And it seems many Kiwi women agree!

Discussing the topic, Toni Street and Sam Wallace heard from several Kiwi women who said that they made the choice to not have children or a husband and have found that they are a lot happier for it.

Meanwhile, the research – which was conducted by the London School of Economics’ Professor of behavioural science, Paul Dolan – suggests that the reverse was true for men.

According to the study, men benefitted from marriage because it helped them 'calm down'.

Speaking at the Hay Festival, Prof Dolan said: "We do have some good longitudinal data following the same people over time, but I am going to do a massive disservice to that science and just say: if you’re a man, you should probably get married; if you’re a woman, don’t bother."
