Say goodbye to food envy at Café 1851 with their new shared-plate dinner menu!

Typically a coffee hotspot with warm and friendly vibes - Café  1851 is now Christchurch's answer to late-night coffee and shared-plate dining with a range of bold dishes crafted by Executive Chef Hamish Watt.

Classic bistro flavours have been reinvented with a twist and home-made staples have been given the all-star treatment with dishes inspired by Hamish's travels through Canterbury and abroad.

Their eggplant fritters have been elevated to new heights with sheep's milk labneh, the Mac & Cheese is infused with the finest Whitestone Cheese and the humble brussels sprout has never tasted so good!

For something a bit more exotic, Hamish recommends the son in law tempura eggs, Akaroa salmon ceviche, or 10-hour smoked brisket bao buns.

And if you've still got room - finish your night with one of their mouth-watering desserts!
