In the summer of 2019, Frontier Touring and Arena Touring will introduce New Zealand to the ultimate pop experience: So Pop. The concert series will bring the biggest names of 90s pop to the stage in Auckland for one night only, transforming each venue into the school disco that you’ll wish never ends.

So Pop will blast cities around the country to the glory days of the 90s and 00s: we’re talking cargo pants, butterfly clips, tazos and enough glitter that you’ll be shimmering for days.

Bringing a lineup of 90s pop royalty Down Under this summer, the first edition of So Pop has collectively sold over 120 million records worldwide and are responsible for some of the biggest party tunes of our time. Catch all these everlasting classics performed live on the one stage during an epic four-hour extravaganza - it’s going to be all that and a bag of chips!

AQUA — The greatest pop phenomenon Denmark has ever seen, the one and only Aqua will grace the stage at So Pop in summer 2019. Bursting onto the scene with 1997’s debut album Aquarium (6x ARIA Platinum), Aqua’s quirky bubblegum pop resulted in undisputed 90s anthems ‘Barbie Girl’, ‘My Oh My’ and ‘Turn Back Time’.

Their knack for catchy pop tunes resulted in sophomore album hits ‘Cartoon Heroes’ and ‘Around The World’ and after a transitional break, the stars returned to the studio for ambitious and bold third album Megalomania . When Aquamania hits our shores, ‘Doctor Jones’ has the only cure - secure your tickets to So Pop ASAP!

VENGABOYS — If you like to party, get ready to jump on the Vengabus! Dutch Eurodance idols Vengaboys are bringing all their undeniable classics this summer. Winners of the World Music Award for ‘Best-Selling Dance Group’ in 2001, Vengaboys wrote the rules on infectious pop hooks with hits like ‘Boom Boom Boom Boom!!’ , ‘We Like To Party (The Vengabus)’ and ‘We’re Going To Ibiza!’.

Their eccentric style enraptured fans with each singer offering a unique flare:  Cowboy Donnie, Captain Kim, PartyGirl D’Nice and SailorBoy Robin. Vengaboys’ mesmerising live performance will transport crowds back to the 00s and have them dancing like they’re ’Uncle John from Jamaica’ - don’t miss out!

BLUE — English O.G. boyband, Blue, will bring their slammin’ moves and party catalogue to So Pop in January 2019. With three UK #1 albums under their belt, Blue’s soulful harmonies and slick production saw them team up with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone for their own rendition of ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’, with Elton John for their brutal love ballad ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ and with Lil Kim for guaranteed party starter ‘Get Down On It’.

Blue’s silky vocals will make the ladies swoon when ‘Best In Me’ is performed live alongside hits ‘All Rise’ and ‘One Love’. Get your posse together, it’s the night you don’t want to miss!

B*WITCHED — Ladies, get in formation as Irish pop queens B*Witched keep those classic dance moves coming. Their 1998 self-titled album debut was a huge charting success, with fresh singles ‘C’est la Vie’, ‘Rollercoaster’, ‘To You I Belong’ and ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’ making B*Witched the youngest girl group to have a #1 in the UK.

Icons of the era, B*Witched are the signature vocals behind the Sabrina the Teenage Witch cartoon theme song, Bring It On’s final dance break with ‘Hey Mickey’, and have released their own rendition of ABBA’s ‘Does Your Mother Know’ after appearing on tribute single ‘Thank ABBA For The Music’. When B*Witched land on the So Pop stage, the only option is to ‘Rev It Up’.

EIFFEL 65 — Italy’s favourite dance-pop three-piece Eiffel 65 will be taking over So Pop. The world’s best- selling Italian group in 2000, Eiffel 65 exploded onto the scene with their pioneering pitch correction sound on Grammy-nominated single ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’.

1999’s debut album Europop is widely considered a landmark album for the 90s, vital in opening Eurodance to a global audience. Eiffel 65’s hypnotic dance pop rhythms on bangers ‘Move Your Body’ and ‘Critical’ are about to turn up the heat at So Pop and you won’t want to miss it!

LOU BEGA — Stylin’ mambo king Lou Bega will win over audiences at So Pop with his fun and passionate live show. Topping the 1999’s Australian Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks with mammoth hit ‘Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit Of…)’, Bega’s Latin flare will take no prisoners at So Pop. Hits ‘Sweet Like Cola’, ‘I Got A Girl’, ‘Boyfriend’ and Bega’s rendition of Tom Jones’ classic ‘Sex Bomb’ will have arenas on their feet - make sure you’re there!

THE OUTHERE BROTHERS — American hip house and Eurodance duo The Outhere Brothers will be bringing the party vibes down under and you won’t want to miss it. With upbeat boisterous jams ‘Boom Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)’ and ‘Pass The Toilet Paper’, The Outhere Brothers are about to take So Pop off the heezy.

2 UNLIMITED — Belgium x Netherlands dance maestros 2 Unlimited join the roster of pop royalty with their high energy tight tunes ‘No Limit’, ‘Tribal Dance’ and ‘Twilight Zone’ commanding stages across the nation. Innovators of EDM, 2 Unlimited will bring a wave of nostalgia with their contagious quirk, ‘Get Ready’ for it!

PRESIDENT — Rounding out the A-Class list of music icons is Germany’s Mr. President. Finding global success with undeniable jams ‘Coco Jambo’, ‘Up’n Away’, ‘I Gave You My Heart’, Mr. President will transform the So Pop stage to a non-stop dance-a-thon!

Think it can’t get any better? As if! Hosting the evening are none other than Cheez TV MVP’s Ryan Lappen and Jade Gatt. The dynamic duo will keep arenas on their toes delivering non-stop nostalgia gold from when doors open until the last confetti cannon blows.

Secure your spot at So Pop this summer! Don’t miss out on an epic night with these 90s pop legends - time to get jiggy with it!
