One of the greatest rock bands of all time, music legends U2 are returning to New Zealand!
Presented by Live Nation, the band perform LIVE at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium, Friday, November 8 (sold out) on The Joshua Tree tour, with a second and final Auckland show announced for Saturday, November 9.
U2 will be joined by special guest, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Following rave reviews, the tour is in celebration of the band’s 1987 album The Joshua Tree and will feature a set filled with ALL the amazing tracks from the iconic record played in sequence, plus a selection of their greatest hits!
"It’s only taken me 30 years to learn how to sing these songs and it’s great to be able to say that I’ve finally caught up with the band," U2's lead singer Bono revealed.
"Our audience has given The Joshua Tree a whole new life on this tour. Doing these shows has been very special for us, a lot of emotion, joy, it’s quite a ride … And now we get to do it all over again … Auckland … We're coming for you!"
"We really, REALLY wanted to bring The Joshua Tree to New Zealand," The Edge added. "We promised we would and finally, now we can say that we will see you in November ... It’s going to feel like a homecoming and we are very excited."
You do not want to miss U2 on The Joshua Tree tour.
In a first for any artist performing in New Zealand, floor tickets for the band’s show will be paperless with delivery via digital wallet 72 hours prior to the show.
