George Michael's cousin has broken his silence over the singer's death and raised a number of questions over his relationship with partner Fadi Fawaz.

Andros Georgiou took to Facebook last night, claiming he 'could not keep silent any longer'.

Referring to his cousin by his nickname 'Yog', Mr Georgiou wrote: 'I have been trying to hold back on this tweet I saw nearly 10 days ago but the more I am reading and the more I am finding out about Fadi I just can't keep my mouth shut any longer.'

He claimed his cousin would not have committed suicide but said his friends 'should have looked after him'.

As reported by MailOnline, Mr Georgiou, who once toured the world with his cousin, said he had repeatedly begged the Wham! star to get help because he feared his drug addictions would eventually kill him.

Fawaz has been questioned by officers investigating Michael's death but there has been no suggestion of any wrong-doing or that he has sought to exploit it.

A post-mortem into the singer's death was inconclusive.

Further toxicology tests have now been ordered but the results will not be back for several weeks.
