Avril Lavigne has just been named the most dangerous celebrity search term on the internet.

Cybersecurity firm McAfee has revealed the 'Sk8er Boi' singer is most likely to direct internet users to websites that carry viruses or malware.

According to McAfee, searches for Lavigne reportedly have a 14.5 per cent chance of landing on a web page with malware.

That number goes up to 22 per cent if you search for free mp3s alongside her name.
