Happy National Pizza Day: BBQ chicken pizza dippers recipe

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 sheet pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1tbsp chopped parsley
  • 6 rashers cooked bacon, diced
  • 2 cups diced chicken
  • 2tbsp oil for cooking
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Red Leicester, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • Optional: 1 cup soured cream, 1tbsp chopped chives

How You Make It:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200c.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and add the chicken. Fry until cooked through then roughly chop into small pieces and place in a bowl alongside the BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, parsley and bacon.
  3. Place the rectangle of pizza dough on a baking sheet. Spread over the chicken mixture then top with onion, mozzarella and Red Leicester. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the dough is cooked through and crisp.
  4. Slice up the pizza into lengths and serve up with the sour cream and chive dip.
