Nameberry has revealed that unisex baby names are gaining in popularity.

And surprisingly, many of the top unisex names are often more associated with boys.

To get their findings, the parenting website looked at which names got the most increased page views from January 2016 to January 2017.

According to Matthew Hahn, a professor at the University of Indiana who co-authored a 2003 baby name study, this is because “the culture is much more accepting of out-there girls’ names.”

Earlier this month, we revealed the hottest baby names of 2017 so far, which showed there’s been a rise in exotic and unusual celeb-inspired baby names.

Last year, Olivia and Oliver topped the popularity polls, with experts predicting a rise in parents picking baby names beginning with O in 2017.

But, Nameberry believes the reign of the vowel may be coming to an end.

Top unisex baby names of 2017:
Quincy
