Sometimes having a real Christmas tree isn't always an option.

Not only can they be expensive, but they can also take up a lot of space in the house.

However, if you want to save some money and have a blank wall in your home just crying out to be Christmafied this amazing life hack could be the solution for you!

Wall Christmas trees rid you of the struggle of lugging a real tree home or trying to assemble a tricky plastic one in your living room - all you need are some decorations and a lot of imagination.

Simply pick up some green tinsel, lights, push pins and a few simple ornaments - all which you can find at places like Kmart, The Warehouse or Typo for cheap.

Then you simply zig-zag the green tinsel and lights down your wall to create a tree-shape and keep it in place with pins as you go.

Then decorate!

We even tried it out ourselves:

The best thing about the wall tree is you can make them as simple or over-the-top as your heart desires.

The only limit is your imagination!
