Man Shot By Police in Rotorua

It has been confirmed a man has been shot by police on Te Ngae Rd.

Police were responding to an incident on Te Ngae Rd.

A reporter said there were about 15 police officers and the man was lying on the ground being treated by police before the ambulance arrived.

Unconfirmed reports the man was "smashing up" a police car before the shooting and had possibly injured a police officer.
