This is fantastic news for busy families who find it difficult to get home-made family meals on the table!

Food home delivery service My Food Bag has expanded to a new value-focused brand.

Bargain Box will deliver food and recipes for weeknight meals, similar to My Food Bag, but the new brand is designed to focus on affordability for bigger families.

The average Bargain Box meal starts at around $5.30 per plate and can cater for four to six adults.

Cecilia Robinson, founder and co-CEO of My Food Bag, said Bargain Box includes recipes for Kiwi favourites like fish and chips, sweet and sour pork and beef burgers.

"These are also meals that can be stretched for big families or provide plenty of leftovers."

Bargain Box is available to order from June 21 with the first deliveries on July 3.

My Food Bag has 35,000 active customers in New Zealand and Australia and annual growth of 120 per cent in number of weekly deliveries.
